Hey all, quick question here: where would you
expect
to use this inline calculator feature (if it existed), so I could understand more about the request? IE:
- Expense modal total amount?
- Expense modal receipt type?
- In a manual split?
Please share if you have a use case :)

Bradley Bernard Personally, I would expect this feature to work on any field that accepts a monetary amount as input. If it only worked on certain amount fields, I think that would be confusing. However, the place where I'd use it most frequently would be the expense modal total amount field.
The most common use case is when I have 2 or more transactions that I want to enter into the app as a single transaction. This feature would help to easily sum the amounts.

I agree with Brandon Rothweiler. I would expect any $ amount field to have this functionality. I would also expect more complex calculator functions, such as brackets/multiplication/division, to work as well.
Eg: ((10.00)x1.13)+((54/2)x1.13)
However, I'd personally use it most frequently in the split adjustment and manual fields.

Brandon Rothweiler: Agreed! The q was more to spur use cases. Not planning to have it only select places, no worries :)
Makes sense, thanks for sharing!

Jonathan Gratton: Definitely more complicated to get that all to work out, but I'll see what I can do!
