Default Splits

Allow for groups to define a "default" split. i.e. roommates may split their household bills 60/40 based on who has the larger bedroom or couples may split their expenses based on relative income levels. It would be nice to save this preference and use it by default for any new expenses entered in that group. (This is something Splitwise implemented poorly. It was only available to Pro users, and then it would only appear by default for the pro user, other users in the same group would still have to enter it manually)

Hey all, I've added a "Keep modal open" toggle on bottom left of new expense modal, which should speed things up. It doesn't keep your default split, but makes it slightly faster!

Bradley Bernard Thanks! 80/20 rule, baby!

Sydney Wingender: Hah totally agree :)

Bradley Bernard I can appreciate an interim, MVP approach, but this hardly meets the criteria of 80/20. I keep a persistent group with my partner and we have an agreed upon split for our expenses. I want to set that once and then only ever again when we have an exception to that split. Even with the modal staying open, I'm setting that % split again and again and again, not to mention when I come back to the site next time.
Keeping the modal is a nice feature but it doesn't seem to serve the purpose of this ticket much.

Bradley Bernard Is there any chance the Keep Modal Open option could persist some values like the split, it would probably be enough to consider this task done even without having it saved on a group level
Bradley Bernard
Scott Inglis: Great idea, will do this today!

Done!

Bradley Bernard I had a chance to play with this recently and it works great, thank you!

Hey Sydney merged your idea in here!

Preset percentage split in group settings
Sydney Wingender
As a user, I'd like to be able to pre-set the split percentage in a group setting. This way, if my wife and I split 60/40 every expense, we could, instead, set 60/40 in the group setting so every expense is automatically split in this matter.

^ This is my #1 or #2 request and Sydney nailed. Just setting a default split for a group would be great.
