Hey all, no custom categories yet, but wanted to say I've just revamped the categories to include WAY more than before, so this should get us closer to what we want, although I know it's not exactly what's requested here.

Hey Scott, do you use any or have seen any apps with "good" categorization that you like? This can be UI/a great list, etc, just some inspiration for me to look at :)

Bradley Bernard: Nothing particular comes to mind for this specific feature, I guess maybe being able to tag expenses would be an alternate way to achieve what I'm imagining. i.e. you have a shared expense group with your roommate, and you want to tag all items related to a party you're hosting so you can see them in one place without just setting up a new group for it.

Scott Inglis: I see I see, yeah I think a group would fit that, although I get the need to organize better and not have a group for
every
slice of your life. I'm waiting a bit to see how the organizational side of SME should play out -- tags? categories? user defined categories? sub groups? So many ways to try things out, waiting to hear from more folks, just wanted to keep you updated! I think overall there should be more here, but unsure on what exactly to do next
